Frank O’Connor House, Douglas Street

Cork City Council approached Hudson Associates to refurbish the birth place of the great Cork short story writer Frank O’Connor for future use by the Munster Literature Society.

This small but fascinating conservation refurbishment saw this mid nineteenth-century terraced house in Douglas Street become the home of the Munster Literature Centre.

This building was exhibited in the 2004 RIAI Irish Architecture Awards.
