About

Hudson Associates are a small multi-disciplinary architectural practice led by Adam Hudson. Established in Cork in 1989, Hudson Associates have amassed significant experience across a broad spectrum of work and are well equipped to provide architectural services from concept to completion.

Hudson Associates was established by Paul Hudson. Originally from Birmingham, Paul trained as an architect in Nottingham and Liverpool before moving to Cork in 1981. Paul set up Hudson Associates in 1989 and has been involved in a diverse range of work since this time. The practice has worked on a multitude of domestic projects as well as larger-scale undertakings, including the design of student accommodation, housing developments, hotels, nightclubs, theatres, offices, pharmaceutical plants and renovations.

This varied body of work has informed an adaptable and pragmatic approach to architecture and allows us to respond readily to specialised briefs and building contexts, from greenfield new builds to inner city refurbishments and conservation. This is combined consistently across all projects with a practice commitment to quality in design and service.

Hudson Associates Architects is now led by Adam Hudson - Paul’s son - who assumed the role of principal architect and director of the company in 2022, nearly 34 years after the practice was established. The practice continues to work on varied project types as Adam looks forward to implementing his own architectural style and undertaking new challenges, both with new build and existing structures.
